The company shall strive for strictly implementing the compliance based on its code of conduct, which the company adopted on its own will, in order to respond to the expectation and trust of all stakeholders, consisting of shareholders, business partners, local residents and employees. The personal information is an information to be strictly managed in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and, also, is a business asset to be the source of various value creation.
The company shall always recognize its social responsibility, observe the protection of privacy and comply with the laws and regulations regarding the personal information and shall deal with the personal information in accordance with the following basic policies for conducting its business activities:
(1) Acquisition of personal information:
The company shall specify the use purpose as far as possible at the time of acquiring the personal information and shall acquire the personal information by legitimate and fair means.
(2) Use of personal information:
The company shall use the personal information within a limitation of the use purpose indicated at the time of acquiring the personal information and in a scope necessary to conduct its business. As regards the use purpose of personal information in the possession of the company, please refer to the "Use Purpose of Personal Information."
(3) Provision of personal information to a third party:
The company shall not provide any personal information without obtaining the person's advance consent, except when the provision is prescribed by the laws and regulations.
(4) Management of personal information:
The company shall strive to maintain the personal information in hand to be accurate and latest within the scope of use purpose, take measures necessary and appropriate for safe management, audit the employees and subcontractors and make efforts to prevent the unauthorized access to the personal information and the loss, destruction, falsification, divulgation, etc., of the personal information.
(5) Disclosure, correction, suspension of use and deletion of personal information:
The company recognizes that any person has the right to request the disclosure, correction, suspension of use, deletion, etc., of the person's own personal information and shall provide a contact point for personal information in order to comply with the request promptly and in accordance with the law whenever there is such request.
(6) Procedure for the request of disclosure, correction, suspension of use and deletion:
The company shall comply with the customers' request for disclosure, notification of use purpose, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use and suspension of provision to a third party regarding the customers' own personal information in its possession. Please refer to the "Request for Disclosure, etc., of Personal Data in Possession" as regards the procedure for request and other details.
(7) Organization and system:
The company shall designate a personal information protection manager to implement an appropriate management of the personal information. The company shall provide trainings to the officers and employees regarding the protection and proper management procedure of the personal information and make it sure that the personal information is handled properly while conducting the daily business.
(8) My Number:
The company handles personal numbers (My Number) and specific personal information (personal information that includes personal numbers) appropriately in compliance with the “Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures,” the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information” and the “Guidelines for the Proper Handling of Specific Personal Information (for Business Operators).”
(9) Planning, implementation, maintenance and improvement of personal information protection compliance program:
The company shall draw up a personal information protection compliance program (including this Policy, "Personal Information Protection Rule" and other rules and regulations) and shall let it fully understood by the company's employees and other related persons and shall implement, maintain and continuously improve such program.
"Personal Information Protection Policy" may be modified without any advance notice according to the revision of relevant laws and regulations and the company's policy.
