Building of Environmentally Friendly Plants
Each plant not only complies with laws and regulations on environmental conservation related to air, water, noise and vibration, but also makes efforts to preserve the local environment by signing environmental conservation agreements with local authorities. In consideration of the characteristics of a region in terms of the environment, we are striving to develop plants that can coexist and prosper together by, for example, installing equipment with sound-proofing and vibration-proofing measures at press plants.
Promotion of the Greening of Plants
Kita Ogaki Plant, which was built under the concept of a “green and flower plant,” has about 7,000 trees of 84 different species planted on its premises, creating an expansive green area that entertains the eyes throughout the year. In recognition of these greening activities, in 1998 we received the “Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in the Greening Promotion Movement.”
Certification as a Gifu Prefecture Environmentally-Friendly Plant (E Plant)
The company’s Kita Ogaki Plant and Higashi Ogaki Plant were certified as “Gifu Prefecture Environmentally-Friendly Plants (E Plant)” in 2003 and continue to renew their registrations as places of business making outstanding efforts for environmental conservation measures, greening and other environmental improvement measures.
